Police divers are resuming their search for a man who disappeared along with his 13-year-old son while snowmobiling on Deux-Montagnes Lake north of Montreal. Authorities recovered the body of the son, Daniel Jukovitsky, on Monday afternoon. They also found their snowmobile, submerged in open water several metres from where police believe it careened off the ice. The father's name has not been disclosed.

Divers have left the snowmobile in the water for now because the priority is to find the missing man, said Sgt. Marc Leduc of the Lac-des-Deux-Montagnes regional police. A police helicopter used in the search spotted snowmobile tracks on the ice that led directly into the lake.

Leduc said the tracks ended at the water's edge where there's no ice. He said the tracks are about a half-kilometre away from a snowmobile trail that has been officially marked by the Quebec Federation of Snowmobilers.

Lac-des-Deux-Montagnes is near Ile-Bizard, a community west of Montreal. Authorities were called after the father and son left a fishing shack on the lake Sunday evening, and never came home.
