IRP: Infinite Rider Positioning - The adjustable seat, handlebars and footrests let you find your ideal riding position. Pair IRP with the Twin Spar chassis and you can fine tune the riding position to maximize comfort in all riding conditions.
DELUXE GAUGE: The deluxe gauge lets you choose between digital and analog speed and tach readouts. There is also an odometer, two trip meters, engine hour meter, clock, fuel level indicator, altimeter, reverse indicator and warning lights. It also serves as a hub for the optional Cat Comm communications system.
FOX® FLOAT SKI SHOCKS: FOX® Float Ski Shocks give you the ultimate in suspension performance. The shocks utilize FOX's quick-adjust load optimizing air technology and are up to 6 lbs. lighter than the conventional coil-over shock.
SLIDE-ACTION REAR SUSPENSION: The Slide-Action Rear Suspension,™ straight from the Sno Pro race sled, incorporates a U-shaped front arm slot that fits over a shaft bolted across the tunnel. This creates a half-inch of "sliding" movement. The half-inch prevents the front arm from torque locking. Better still, it helps keep the skis planted during acceleration, all but eliminating ski lift when gassing it through the corners.
1000 LAY DOWN ENGINE: The 1000 engine is a 2-Stroke 999cc Liquid Twin with Batteryless Electronic Fuel injection. The engine is "laid down" in the chassis to move snowmobile mass toward the ground and effectively lower the center of gravity. BEFI adjusts for temperature and altitude. In addition you can count on quick starts, great fuel economy and cleaner emissions. The 1000 also features an Exhaust Pipe Temperature Sensor™ and Electronic APV™ Exhaust Valves to regulate pipe temperature, optimize performance and cut down emissions.
TWIN SPAR CHASSIS: Designed and manufactured to be incredibly rigid, the Twin Spar chassis employs two box-aluminum spars triangulated with the steering supports and tunnel spars. Self-piercing rivet construction ensures joint rigidity and long-lasting strength. This year the Twin Spar chassis is "tipped" to place you in the perfect neutral riding position and lower the center of gravity. In concert with a taller seat and handlebar location, this position maximizes comfort and control in all riding conditions.
ENGINE REVERSE: Push-button electronic reverse gets even better. Now a feature of the engine, not only is it smooth, it's also a weight saver that sheds 9 pounds.
